Using Logos in your Application (Can you get sued)

I have a question. Say i wanted to make a food search application and i wanted to use Mcdonalds logo. Can they sue me? Same goes for if i wanted to make a video game and used lets say Nintendo Wii controller? can i get sued?

Assuming they spotted it, I'm sure a cease & desist order would be in your mailbox soon enough. Those are trademarks, protected under US & international laws. Unauthorized use is most certainly "actionable."

You should not use copyrighted or trademarked images without prior written consent as it will almost certainly lead to a cease and desist order if it's spotted; especially for trademarked images as companies must protect these aggressively.
