Who took the bite out of the Apple?

So one just asked me who took the bite out of the Apple logo?
I didn't know what to tell them?
Who did you think did it?

Michael Scott?
A. C. "Mike" Markkula?
John Sculley?
Michael Spindler?
Gil Amelio?
Steve Jobs?

Maybe it was Steve Jobs because he was mad at Apple for succeeding.

Because the 1st logo was hell to silkscreen…

Apparently the bite refers to Alan Turing, who committed suicide by eating an apple he had laced with cyanide.

That logo has been used since 1976. Before that logo, the only image of an Apple was in an illustration involving Issac Newton.

The man who modern computing owes its life and did a significant amount of work for the allies in regards to cracking enemy codes during WWII
