Simulators for testing applications

Can anyone provide the links of some of the most widely used iphone simulators.
Also, I would like to know whether these simulators could be used in any mac machines.

There is the Apple one that ships with the SDK. To the best of my knowledge that is the only one. Any other simulator would have to fully implement Cocoa Touch and all the layers below it, some of which are covered by Apple patents.

It only runs on Mac OSX Leopard on an Intel Mac (seeing any sort of pattern here yet?).
