View Full Version : How to HIDE a song from showing in Cover Flow?

I have a bunch of random songs/albums that I don't want showing up in my Cover Flow playlist. For instance, I have a few Mp3s that comprise "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. It's a great album to listen to on a plane as a reminder, but I don't want them showing up in my general Cover Flow when I'm browsing for tunes -- it doesn't fit in well with the AC/DC and Journey. Also, to top it off that and several other like albums don't even have artwork, so they appear with the grey no-artwork cover. I'm sure it's not difficult for Apple to include an extra bit on any song/album in iTunes show_cover_art=0, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Please advise!

Thanks,

You could group them together under one album, but there is currently no way to hide an album.

Prior to the 3.0 firmware, if the "album" field was blank the mp3 song did not show up in my cover flow. Now since I've updated to 3.0 "some" songs with no album info are showing up. Whether or not they have cover art does not seem to matter. I cannot understand what is different with the songs that are showing up vs. the many without "album" info that are not shown.
