I have a 32GB iPod Touch and after some initial hilarity have become quite a fan (I'm listening to a list generated off of Miles Davis 'Miles Runs the Voodoo Down' from Live at Fillmore East right now).

But the question is - my wife and kids have iPod Nano 3G's and I have an older 2G Nano, and am wondering if there is any support (current or planned) for bringing this to the older devices?

Apple, historically, have not ported major features from new generations back to previous ones. So I'd say: not plans and very unlikely to ever happen.

Genius the App will not run, but you could use iTunes to create Genius Playlists then sync those playlists to the iPods.

Thanks to both ... that was sort of my assumption, will have to see how it goes with the family.
