Its crazy, they are like $50 more expensive than the 1.6 SPs (even after the SPs price dropped)... with twice the RAM and twice the HD Space... not to mention being able to hold 8 gigs of RAM max and PCI-X slots compared to the 1.6 G5.
Anyone else think its crazy there is about a $700 price difference in the SP and DP 1.8 G5s?
At least the SP 1.8 has a 450 watt powersupply vs a 600 watt DP, is a little quieter, and will be a little easier to upgrade in the future.
The next wave of G5s should probably have a 2.0 Ghz SP at the bottom end... so I doubt the DP 2.0 will fall in price quite as hard.
