iChat between USA and Australia

I managed to set up an iChat link between my Australian based daughter and myself (USA), and it worked very well. Once. However, since then she has been getting the "connecting" message without actually connecting. This goes on for about 10 minutes, then iChat gives up. Does anyone know what this is and how to overcome it? She has tried restarting iChat and her ADSL connect is fine. She manages to get traffic other than iChat at high speeds.

yea theres been a few little problems for me at this end australia that is. iChat looses the conection but dosnt tell you for about 5 minutes. i think it might be heavy network use though. as to solving it i guess its in aol and apples hands
