Hi,

I keep getting the message 'Error 1430', every time i try to restore my iPod classic to its factory settings in iTunes.

Does anybody know a way around getting past this?

Thanks

This happened to me also. Make sure you have it in Disk mode. Then try the restore, it should work.

This happened to me too. What iTunes does is, unless disk mode is activated, automatically ejects the iPod when its done synchronizing. However, during a point in the restore process, it is "done" synchronizing and ejects itself.

So make sure you have it in disk mode.

However, I bought an iPod off eBay that was Macintosh formatted, so nothing can be done to it, including putting it in disk mode, so when I try to restore (and i have to restore it to use it), it fails. It will keep failing until it does not automatically eject.

Any help?
