View Full Version : Help With importing 16:9 into iMovie 6

Alright I am having trouble importing 16:9 Widescreen into iMovie 6. Everytime I try to import it, iMovie makes it into 4:3. I have my settings set to DV Widescreen. Help much appreciated.

Is the camera exporting it as 16:9 or 4:3? Some cameras will convert 16:9 to 4:3 before it sends it to the computer.

do you have to tell imovie that the clip is ANAMORPHIC?

Its actually Stock Footage from the Internet, that is Natively 16:9.

This might be the trick. It's been a while since I used iMovie 6, but I know there is a setting to tell it the imported video is widescreen.

This might be the trick. It's been a while since I used iMovie 6, but I know there is a setting to tell it the imported video is widescreen. I can't figure out where this setting is, i have looked in preferences and no luck.
