I've booked myself into two courses at Big Nerd Ranch (Atlanta). I've booked the Objective-C and Cocoa course in January and the iPhone Bootcamp course in February. I'm hoping I can cancel the January course if I learn quickly enough, but expect i'll go on the iPhone one regardless.

Has anyone been on any courses at the ranch before? What kind of standard / activities / hands on work is there? Any comments are appreciated,

Thanks.

I haven't been myself, but I've heard very good things. I'd definitely show an interest in going to one next time they visit England!

I didn't know they visited England! I know of the Atlanta one, and the Frankfurt one. I've booked the Atlanta one simply because the conversion from US dollars to UK pounds makes the course reasonably priced! ($4,800 for one and $3700 for the other I think). Not really cheap - but it's an all inclusive thing. You get your room, all meals and transport to and from the airport in with the price.

Would love to hear feedback from someone who's been on one though.

If I had the cash I'd go in a shot.. I learn soooo much better talking face to face with people. I tend to get bored and disheartened quite easily when learning on my own.
