Very Unusual and Worrying Problem

I just went to check my battery life (MacBook, as seen in my signature) and the top right of my screen completely pixelated, I switched off and back on and it worked fine, with the exception of a slightly finicky keyboard. What happened and is there any chance of it happening again? Advice?

Video drivers and/or GPUs can sometimes have "artifacts", and errors, what not. Tends to happen more on poor drivers, when switching resolutions, playing full-screen videos, or when taxing the GPU.

I wouldn't sweat it, happened to my panel once, but no ill-effects 1.5 years later.

If it happens on a regular basis, or you can repeat it with certain conditions, that may warrant further investigation.

I'm hoping that it was just a freak incident. The battery was rather low as it happened and seeing as the graphical glitch was followed by the computer shutting down, I think (well hope, actually) that it was related to the low power.
