I'm interested to learn how good this is and which formats it supports. If it works well then it may convince me to buy a ATV.

I just tried it, as I suspected, the patchstick creator didn't work on my G4.

G4? Man that's old. You should probably use your rotary phone and call someone that still owns a fax machine and a pager for support.

I did the install today using OSX on my AirBook. No issues, it by far is the slickest patch stick to date. You get to choose what options you want patched and it auto installs boxE and XBMC.

XBMC works very well. I would like to know how to get rid of the title bar though. Also the auto res did not work for me, I had to manually set it for my Pany panel.

Boxee's interface and usability is really putting Apple to shame. If Apple is smart, they'll snap Boxee up for pocket change before they explode in popularity, add an Apple touch of simplicity to the UI and rename and rebrand :apple:tv as Boxee.

Can somebody who has installed Boxee and/or XBMC on an TV please tell me if there is a way of setting 4:3 aspect ratio? A standard TV always assumes a widescreen tv, whereas XBMC on the XBOX has a specific setting for 4:3 aspect ratio (I forget what menu it is in right now). I expect that the menu is still there but that it has no effect.

Wow. Best laugh of the day, by far!
