My mac has gotten really slow, so slow I'm using my pc more than it, It came with some pretty cool Applications (Adobe CS, MS Office) and if it's anything like a PC, Reinstalling the OS means a dramatic speed boost, hoever I don't have the Install CD's for the Apps and CD-R's are my only mode of backing up, can I somehow back them up to a CD, reinstall Leopard, then Put them back on the HDD?

Unfortunately, apps like Adobe CS & Office that require an installer to run (rather than just dragging it to the Applications folder) cannot be saved or backed up. You need the original discs or installer files.

This is generally not true on a Mac. First, use Activity Monitor to see which applications are using most of your CPU, how much free HD space you have and what your RAM Page IN/Out ratio is.
