iPhone usb cable

sorry if previously posted. i have old ipod nano probably gen 1 or 2. is the usb cable that came with it compatible with the iPhone? ive heard things such as 5 volt 10 volt. or does that only apply to car / in wall chargers? THANKS!

they should all work, ive never heard of different voltages on the cables. You might want to check with an apple store, you can call them up and ask one of the reps.
