Is there a way to turn off the screen while using iTunes?

I'd like to listen to a video (not watch it). Is it possible to start iTunes, load a movie, turn off the screen and listen to the audio through the built-in speaker? 😕
 
Yes there is, start the video with the ipod app, then press the sleep/wake button, press the sleep/start button again and on the lock screen double tap the home button and press play on the screen. Hope it helps
 
That doesn't work for me on 1.1.4, the ipod controls won't work from the lock screen if my last play was a video, wish it did though.
