Anyone RIP open a Lacie Rugged Portable HD lately

Are they still using IDE or SATA on the mainboard interface ?

I opened up one of my older Lacier Rugged Portables planning to stick a 320gb HD in it....only to find out it was IDE interface (my HD was sata) based
