I've bought a new :apple: imac a few days ago and so far i'm very happy with it. I switched from vista and i think OSX is much better :D !
But now I've got a problem, i want to use my tv tuner (pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Tuner Kit for windows vista) on OSX, how could I do? Is there any freeware available that supports that tipe of tv tuner?

No free stuff I know of but EyeTV looks like it may support it depending on the model you have.

Yeah I would say to look at Elgato's EyeTV, I have been using it for almost 2 years and I love their software, it works really well and its well designed.

EyeTV might be the right software, but before I buy it I want to test if it works with my tuner. Is there any trial version of it?

They use to have a trial version on there website, you should contact them and see if they can send you a trail version, or even better contract them with the tuner that you have that you used in windows, and they will be able to tell you weather it can be used with their software or not.
Elgato is a great company with really nice people working for them. They also have a forum on their website which is free to join, that is another place you might want to go to ask them for help and compatibility.

I was in best buy a week or so ago and saw a Mac version of one of these:

How exactly do these work? It says get tv over-the-air, comes with an antenna, but has a coaxial plug on the end. Can you put the cable line directly to this usb stick like a regular tv? I moved and currently dont have a dvr and am dying without one. Also, ultimately when I get into my house I want to get a 24" iMac and use it in the bedroom as my tv/computer so it this works that way it would be fantastic.

It doesn't look they have the trial up anymore, but they do list the hardware compatible with EyeTV (http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/mainmenu/products/software/EyeTV3/product3.en.html). Is yours on the list?
