I just downloaded Fring, a free VoIP app for the iPod Touch. I'm ready to purchase a couple of credits (they're cheap) and try this baby out, but I have no special mic headphones to talk through.

I already own a good pair of headphones, so can I get a splitter to give me an extra jack for a mic?

If that's not possible, can anybody show me to some cheap (usable) mic + headphones?

This is so cool; I can't wait to try it out.

This will only work with the second generation iPod touch released at the Let's Rock event.

Otherwise, you're out of luck.

EDIT: just noticed you have a second generation... I'd look at Best Buy or Amazon for cheap microphones.

I got my answer from another post; if you want to see that post/thread, here it is. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=574419 First Post.

Here's the direct link (http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPhone-Stereo-Converter-microphone/dp/B00120U4XU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1223072571&sr=8-5) to the product on Amazon.

Cheers!
