I just bought a second imac g3 today. It had 10.0.4 installed and i didn't have any passwords or anything so i immediately installed a larger HDD and started installing 10.3.9.
then i remembered the fricken 4.1.9 firmware update. I never installed it and the original harddrive doesn't have OS 9. I am on the second install disc and it seems to be installing just fine but i want to know if it will work when its done. AHHHH!!! I feel stupid.
If it gets F'd can i just swap drives again and have it work?
CAn i install the firmware update from a linux live disc?
