Sometimes when I'm trying to load something it will simply go black and return to the iPod's home screen. Plus sometimes I try to enter text and when I go to the next webpage only half of it shows up? Don't know if I explained it very well. I have a new 2g.

Do you mean Safari has been crashing? "Internet quitting" sounds more like you're losing your wifi connection.
If you mean Safari crashing, yeah, that happens to me something like once per hour of usage (roughly). It had to be a bug in the latest software, hopefully will be addressed in an update soon.
