I'm getting into customizing MacOS X and have gotten CandyBar, ShapeShifter, and SafarIcon. However, I'm wondering if there's a good place to find some other things.

One of these is something I've seen in several screenshots of Mac users' customized desktops. The Dock is on the bottom of the screen, but is flush left or right. How is this done? There's an old app on VersionTracker that claims to do it in 10.0 or 10.1 but I'm not sure about Panther compatibility. Any links?

Also, I'm wondering if there's a good central repository for things like system replacement icon sets (iContainers), ShapeShifter themes, and other OS X customization hacks. Or a forum of sorts where customizers hang out. Any suggestions?

Dragthing (http://www.dragthing.com/) is an amazing dock replacement.
It's extremely configurable and flexible.
Well worth the shareware fee.

Xupport (http://www.computer-support.ch/Xupport/) is a system configuration utility with some very advanced options.
The current version is still in beta, but it's stable and works well.

check out funmac.com (http://www.funmac.com) there's a heap of customizers & themers hang out there.

also, resexellence is a good source of boot images, themes and other good stuff. :)

there's also TinkerTool. it's a very good app for system type stuff, i'm pretty sure they've got a Panther version out. (sorry i can't remember their site:p)
