on the topic of iSight:
Annoying:
1. If you have Panther, you have video ichat capabilities - with Jaguar, there is an upgrade fee.
2. iSight does not have native movie encoding - either in mpg. or .mov formats.
3. The NEW version of iMovie will allow your iSight to record movies. iLife costs $49.99 / $29.99 for students.
Not Annoying:
1. A software program called CamSpinner
2. It encodes via iSight into .mov files
3. *Extremely* configurable
