(Unfixable) screen woes with 10.5.5

Just want to make people aware of the weird screen issues on iMacs and the teething troubles many users are having with AppleCare support monkeys.

The screenshots posted on that thread at the Apple forums do not look like a software issue to me. Those were the exact sort of graphical artifacts I experienced on my 20" Core Duo iMac (white) when its logic board went bad.

It could very well be a hardware issue. I know you say these problems only cropped up after installing 10.5.5 but I think that might just be a coincidence.
