Connectin Imac to Sony HD HandyCam

Hi all

Recently I purchased a new Sony Handycam and try to connect it to my Imac.

Sad to say, the software, "Picture Motion" only works on PC and similar for the Sony Vegas, also only works on PC.

Called up Sony Service centre and was told that I need to get my own software in order to connect to the Handycam.

My Imac can only detect the Handycam and download the file, which is MTS extension.

Any advice which program I can u[se without spending much money?

Roxio toast 9 will deal with it. Also apple final cut pro.

also give iMovie a try. I connect my Sony HD Handycam to my iMac and iMovie does a decent job.
