Urban Tycoon puts the city in your hands.. literally! Pinch and swipe your way through your city. The goal of Urban Tycoon is to build a financially flourishing metropolis that's environmentally safe and low on crime. As an urban tycoon you will have complete control of your urban area's budget... so spend it wisely.

LOL, you are right Jessica! Thanks for the info on the PM system. Being a new developer .. and this being the first time I've ever released any type of product into the wild... I figured it would be nice to give advanced copies of the app.

I've been getting a few emails regarding why 2.0 is already being mentioned and 1.0 isn't out yet .... and why didn't we just wait and make 2.0 ... 1.0

Well here's the deal.. 1.0 had been complete for a long time (August) but I couldn't release the app due to finalizing legal stuff. During that time, myself and a small team started working on 2.0 which is an even more enhanced version of the game.

Because of the amount of work being put into 2.0 .... I decided to push it's release back to November... soooooo in the meantime I thought I should just release 1.0 as an introduction.

Plus 1.0 will be $1 cheaper than 2.0 ... so all those lucky enough to buy 1.0 will save some money.

Nothing seems to work on the site. I clicked on every link in the nav bar and all I got was white space in the main area. I don't know if everyone is having this problem but it would be nice to be able to check out your upcoming apps from your company's prospective. Have you ever played any Tycoon games? or Sim City? it's like that. You manage the city budget, crime, pollution ect ... it's a turn based strategy game.

Overall, this game isn’t a go-buy-it-right-now kind of game yet. But, it is a good investment to buy it now with 2.0 (sorry) coming out (as promiced by TouchSoft) before SimCity hits the App Store.

Hi Timothy, We're actually adding animations in a 1.1 update coming next week. So if you like, you can wait till then. I will be posting a NEW youtube video of 1.1 soon. Which is mainly a graphic upgrade.

Pretty much we will be doing small enhancements to the game until 2.0 hits. We've been getting a lot of pre-feedback from the community .. and we're implementing the smaller request into updates before 2.0 hits. So if anyone has suggestions to make the game better.. we're listening.

Hi Rendez,

Urban Tycoon is a "Tycoon Game" ... the traditional tycoon game is considered "turn based" ... you form your strategy during a round and make any changes .. once done you end turn to progress to the next round.

As mentioned in my first post 2.0 will come with 3 play modes ... one of those modes is "Real Time" .. which will make it more of a sim city type game. where rounds are automatically calculated by a timer which difficulty speed can be set.

As for the drawing. I'll be contacting the winners this evening.

TouchSoft- Please keep us posted to updates, and think about giving rewards and such after a while. Also, maybe you could have a high score list, for online viewing?

PS. you mentioned the game crashed a few times.... one thing a lot of game developers have been telling users to do is restart your iPhone whenever you install a game. These crashes have more to do with how much free resources the system has.. Apple has tried to cut back the number crashes because of this.. but it still happens.
