I love seeing people's business cards... from all professions, its very interesting to see what people go for, plain and professional or different and eyecatching...

here's mine... made it when i left college, i studied animation so its quite animation themed, although im going to change it soon... the details are on the back so no need to blur for me!

Please post whether you designed it yourself or got someone else to do it!

I recently discovered a company called Moo, who make smaller business cards. They allow you upload 100 different designs.

Here's the images I chose (all my images)

I don't actually currently have a business card atm but given how many people ask for them i should probably get some (seems far too grown-up for my liking :D )

Where would you get metal cards, or custom shaped cards printed? Some of those are really creative, I would just have no idea how to get them printed.

Here's the front of mine, I did the design.

The printed version is two-sided; we have the air times of our newscast on the back.

I really wanted to do translucent plastic cards, but I tend to go through a few hundred cards a month so most of the more creative cards (plastic, metal, etc) would have been to expensive.

When I looked at some of the more unique cardstocks, I was looking at Dallas Card Works (http://www.dallascardworks.com/). I know some people who have used them; they seem to do a good job.

I like the color and the minimal grid and content. What is the icon supposed to be?

Thx! The icon is intended to be suggesting the "O" of Origin... You're the second person to tell me that. I may adjust it just a bit in the next printing.

Chico: I like rounded when they're well-used; Looks like you got them perfect. Nice cards!

Most legitimate printers will round the corners- either by die or by rounding machine. The die will look better.

I get them done locally. WGIPrint.com. They used a die. It was an additional 75$ but I think well worth it.

The front of the card is one of my photographs. The backside contains my information and is a matte finish so people can write on them if they wish.

The pic is from my cellphone...

Great idea. The company i work for does the opposite; I've tried to convince them to do otherwise but they don't listen.
