I have 16 Leopard macbooks which were connected to a Windows network -Small Business Server 2003. On the server each user's profile pointed at the server for the home folder. This took ages and I was really pleased when eventually everbody was talking to each other.
Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago we installed a new server with a new name and all the Macs fell off and couldn't reach the server anymore.
I've just had a very frustrating day of rebinding them (using admit mac in dir utility) the problem is they keep randomly refusing to mount the home folder and therefore can't log in i.e. will do it then 5 minutes later won't.
Anybody got any idea what might be happening?
I upgraded to 10.5.5. and Directory Utility 1.6.3

Very grateful for any assistance, this is a Study Support Centre for children, I'm a teacher trying to keep the budget down by DIY IT!!
