What program is used to created email blasts?

I want to learn how to create a layout for an ad with photos and text, then embed it into the body of a email message and have hyperlinks work to link to a web page. What software on Mac OSX does this?

it is an html page that is inserted into an email. As far as the blast, usually what our company does is, they just go through a third party. If you do it yourself you run the risk of getting caught for spamming. Plus most companies allow you to track the emails. You can design something in photoshop and then slice it up and insert it into the email. It wont be as involved as a complete website but you will need to know some HTML.
