Webcam Setup

I just bought a Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX USB 961464 and it's plugged into my USB port but I don't think it's being recognized. I looked in preferences, but don't see place to say use this cam as opposed to the built in cam on my IMac. Any suggestions?

is it mac compatable? if its usb apparently it has to be 'video class' which seems to be a spec only apple knows of lol, i've heard the xbox cam meets that spec, other than that ALL firewire cams including dv cams work.
