We're proud to announce that our biggest CastCatcher update yet has hit the App Store. In this release we've added:
Added support for Icecast and Nicecast streams (still .pls files)
Support for direct playback of Shoutcast stream URLs (e.g. http://stream.radiojavan.com:9000)
Fixed crash caused by incompatible metadata (stream plays, metadata ignored if it can't be detected)
Support direct playback of mp3 files
Squeezebox server (SlimServer) playback support - add the mp3 url to CastCatcher
More accurate error reporting on stream failure
Increase text size on now-playing screen
Improved Icecast and Nicecast Support
Station details (bit rate, name etc), if provided
Auto Reconnect on connection loss (attempt every 5 seconds)
Also, since it's our 1 month anniversary, we've decided to put all of our apps on sale for $0.99 USD for 48 hours!
- CastCatcher streams your favorite shoutcast, icecast, or nicecast stations (shoutcast.com, live365.com, etc. to find stations).
- BillMinder helps you manage your bills.
