Perfoma/Powermac G3 6400/200, running 8.1 and hopping to upgrade to 9.2

A useless piece of junk right now, because it boots and crashes in 2 minutes. Its OS got messed up, to many things changed and such. Now, I wanna get it running on 9.2, but it says its incompatible. Heres the stats:

1997 computer

32 MB ram
2 GB HD (would clear)
280 (I think) GHz processor, g3 (may be dual processor ??? )
 
Its a little hard to open up and get to the MOBO, since its so old and never really been open up, takes a lot of force. 🙁😕
 
I'd stick with OS 8.6 on this machine. Best performance with compatibility. Don't bother with 9 unless you need to run OS 9 specific applications.

Ive got too many Macs now...looking for something really groovey. I did try to open it up but the mobo tray was stuck and the 'put out' lady came by and gave me an ugly look. Had to close it back up. 🙁

I know the feeling of too many Macs, but whats not groovy about a built in subwoofer???? 🙂
