It keeps saying that i cant text numbers with a 1 in front of the area code

OK, so, it keeps saying to enter a 10 digit number and try again when i try to text, but it is a ten digit number, and i can't figure out what the issue is. It happens with about 15 of my contacts. Please help. This is incredibly frustrating

Did you try texting them without the 1 in front of the number? Or by changing the 1 to read +1 or 001?

Yep! Most of the ones it didnt work with didnt even have a one, just a few
