Hey there, I have a powerbook with a british keyboard layout.

I seem to be getting on OK with the keyboard (it's very nice to type on), but I can't find a few keys!

Does anyone know where these keys are:

- Delete (where it deletes text forward)
- End
- Home
- Page Up
- Page Down

thanks!

For Delete, hold down the fn button, then hit the backspace key. I don't know about the others though.

Probably depends on what PowerBook you have.

On my PowerBook G3 (Bronze Keyboard) Page Up and Page Down are fn-up and fn-down. I don't think there is any Home or End. I don't have access to my TiBook right now so I can't check that one.

UGH.... I am at internetcafe at the moment with this ugly PC at the moment and I am quite new to macs..... but the button you need to press is on the left side of the "space bar". An Apple button or the next one.

Press that one and hold it while you press

Backspace - Delete (where it deletes text forward)
Arrow right - End
Arrow left - Home
Arrow up - Page Up
Arrow down - Page Down

I am using a british keyboard in PB G4 1.25 & OSX 10.3

Hope this helps !

On my powerbook it's the same place it is on a PC: right above the return (enter) key.

\\\\\

Same on my iBook.

On the British keyboard, the \ is to the left of the Return key and the / is to the left of the right shift key (both clearly labeled).

The delete key is fn (function) + backspace. Page up/down, home and end are accessed via functionn + up/down/left/right arrow keys (labeled on these keys on the current AlBooks)

One you didn't mention which people usually can't find is the hash key (#), which is not labeled on the British layout and is accessed via alt+3 (alt=option)

oh, sorry, i forgot to mention that i'm using scandinavian (finnish) keyboard where i haven't found one. there seems to be two (!) forward-slashes (one in normal location shift-7, other using numlock).

quite annoying to open character palette to type windows unc-pahts. oh well... i guess that's annoying regardless of the keyboard :)
