Which is the best iphone modem currently?

I am thinking of using iphone internet on my laptop.

Also, i need to have enable GPRS on my phone in order to have the net on Laptop?

Man, I really want a tethering app but I don't want to jailbreak. WHY DIDN'T I BUY NETSHARE WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!?! 😕

Well yea... the internet won't magically appear at your laptop. The iPhone has 3G, EDGE and GPRS anyway. Unless you somehow blocked those, you're set to go.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but has nobody been charged by AT&T for tethering without a suitable plan? I would love to be able to tether with my iPhone and laptop, but I'm afraid of racking up a huge bill when AT&T figures out what is going on.
