A Quick Question about my Apple TV Connected to iTunes...

Hey everyone. I recently purchased an Apple TV. I obviously use iTunes to sync all of my content to it, but each and every time that I open iTunes for the simplest task, it finds, connects to and tries to sync my Apple TV. This isn't a huge deal but it's a bit of an annoyance, seeing as how I only willingly put new/different content on my Apple TV once every few weeks or so.

Is there a setting anywhere where I can tell iTunes to only "Look" for the Apple TV when I tell it to? As apposed to every single time that iTunes is open?
