Starting last night, my internet started working weird. My girlfriends' laptop worked fine. Mine is going so slow.
my throughput is 91K according to toast.net... That's 56K modem speed.
DSL is 291-900Kish.
My macbook's internet was working fine on campus today. It's just when I'm in my apartment.

Well, since your girlfriend's laptop was working fine, I guess I'd have a question for you ... Well, a few of them anyway. Are we talking wired connection? Wireless? If wireless, is she using 802.11b? g? n? I guess what I'm getting at is that since this only happens to be at your apartment, perhaps someone is using a mobile phone that's messing with the reception on your laptop? I used to not be able to use an older cordless phone without bothering my wireless connection ...

Yeah, but what about your neighbor's apartment? Does this happen at all times of day?
Also, can you plug in an ethernet cable and see if you get the same poor response?
