Getting Around Corporate Blocks

So I just bought a Touch, in hopes to use the wi-fi at work to use Fring (for Skype). I go to open it and I find that I can't, nor can I use Mail, or Pandora, or anything that needs the internet (except for Safari- after agreeing to the terms of use- but these others apps still do not launch at work). Is there a way around this kind of security so that I can use these Apps?

No offense, but you shouldn't be going around your company's security measures. It's their bandwidth, they are paying for it for their needs, not for you to use skype on your iPod Touch.

However, you might want to ask your company's network admin if he or she can set you up with proper access to those services.
