iPhone to go ?

Hi all,
I am flying in to the US in a couple of weeks and want to buy an iPhone for myself to use back in my own country.

I see I can get it in BestBuy for $300 .. but do I have to sign a contract there and then ? Where can I get one to go...?

You can't get one without a contract in the U.S. Sorry.

Side note: I'm rather near you, and will still be for the next five weeks. Greystones is awesome. Thought I'd throw that out there.
