I mean seriously, WTF? The most expensive was the Blackbook at £949, now the most expensive is now £1149.

The white MacBook, whose price dropped in the US, has risen by £20 to £719.

Apple talked of how popular MacBooks were with students, but raising prices is just going to deter people, especially given the crap financial situation in the world right now.

Bad apple.

No firewire, same processor speed as my 2-year old MB, and MORE EXPENSIVE. Jokers. I was going to buy today - not now!

No need to be an ass. Clearly with only 2 minutes between the two threads, that one was obviously posted while I was typing. I did check before I started composing my thread :p

Anyway, could a mod please lock this one?

Same here. I was really looking forward to this event, but lack of Firewire and the horrendous prices has deterred me. Definately getting an iMac now...
