All of these compression and resolution options are killing me. I've been using FCE to bring in 1440x1080i videos from an AVCHD camcorder so I can ultimate use them in Final Cut 5.0.
When I drag a clip into the timeline of FCE, the system asks me whether I want to change the session to that format. When I click yes and look at the new format in the EASY SET UP, it says 720p30. That is a surprise to me because the file's get info says it 1440 x 1080.
I then locate the Quicktime files and import the files into Final Cut.
What are the absolute correct and best settings in the EASY SET UP and the SYSTEM SET UP for 1440x1080i files in final cut?
