Monitor options for ibook, powerbook

I am close to getting a powerbook. I was wondering if you could hook up a regular crt monitor to the powerbook, or even the ibook? I know that the powerbook supports monitor spanning, but I have heard there is a hack for the ibook as well? any help is appreciated!

You can hook a CRT monitor up to both. And yes there is a screen spanning hack for the iBook.
