White iMac quality?

Hello all,
What do folks think of the old white 17" iMacs? They are listed in the Apple refurb store, and I'm thinking that that would be a good choice for a switcher. Are the monitors as good as the 20" current models?

Oh well, it was a good deal while it lasted... back to the old 20" vs. 24" conundrum!
