Is there any way to stop this?
It's fairly loud.
I got the Soundsticks II but whether they're plugged in or not, they're buzzing all the time. I assume it's interference.

Shielded cable, eg. coaxial, usually stops external interference, but that poses a slight problem with wiring to your spkrs. There is other shielded cable for spkrs, but the best thing is to track down the source of the interference and move it, or fix it (eg. arcing inside some device nearby).
[In my case it was a bare hard drive in close proximity to and on the same power circuit as my audio amplifier. As changing things around was more trouble than help, I tolerate the occasional nuisance.]

you could try a ferrite bead (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrite_bead). It's the bump on the end of most computer cables, try running the speaker signal cable through one of these right before it goes into the speaker itself.
and if you have an iPhone, move it as far away from the speakers as possible. they're particularly noisy.

Thanks for the replies. It seems like I've solved it now.
