What's the best way to do this? I have several home movie DVDs that need to be copied, but were not originally made in iDVD.

Is there a way to copy them with the software on a new G5 powermac dp 1.8?

Go to versiontracker.

Get DVDBackup.

Burn with Toast.

unless you encrypted them, you could just make a disk image (udf, iirc) in Toast, and just burn copies that way.

or just copy the Video_TS, and Audio_TS folders to you hd, and make a new DVD in Toast.
