Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.
In my experience, the most reliable memory is made by Crucial. To future-proof your computer, I recommend you max-out your memory to 4GB. The price difference between 2GB and 4GB right now is only $34 (2GB = $33.99 while 4GB = $67.99).
