Return online purchase to a store?

I have a friend who ordered the new stock 2.0 Macbook on the 14th. Now she wishes she had ordered the 2.4 model - decided she wanted the backlit keyboard. The 2.0 should get delivered by the end of the week. I told her I think she can take it to the local Apple store to exchange it as long as it is unopened and there should not be a restocking fee. Is this correct? Can you return/exchange an online purchase at an Apple store?

Store finally opened. Answer is yes since it's stock. Now she just needs to make up her mind if the bump in price is worth it! :p

Perhaps, but credit is fine because she wants to immediately get the 2.4 GHz. Not sure if they give cash back.
