Hey all,
I'm in the market for a digital voice recorder to conduct interviews, and I figure that if I'm going to spend ~$100 on one of these little gadgets, might as well pay a little more and get the Nano 4G, which from what I understand, allows voice recording feature.
Problem is the only microphone I can find for the 4G Nano is the earphone/mic sold by Apple. I need the recorder for interviews, not personal voice notes, so the headphone option is no good for me. Can I just plug in something like this Sony unidirectional mic in the headphone/mic port, or do I have to try and use one of the connector-based mic options (e.g. iTalk, Belkin TuneTalk, etc.)?
And, while I have your attention, does anyone actually have some experience recording interviews with the nano? Is the sound clarity comparable to standalone personal recorders?
Cheers
