I want the new macbook sooooo badly, but I don't know how to use these devices with it:

Firebox (firewire)

*EDIT: Nevermind, not mac compatible.

*EDIT 2: But at least, if you use bootcamp you can use it as a firewire port!

Youll still loose the firewire advantages even if it did work with a mac...
It was a mistake to remove the firewire port from the macbook, they should have found another way to make it different from the pro.

I thought the HF100 used flash memory (does it even have firewire?) - can't you just take the card out and put it in a reader?

If you've got the 15" MBP in your sig why wouldn't you stick with it? It's a fine computer and it has firewire. You want firewire for your audio, USB 2 is a step backwards.

My advice:

Keep the MPB for as long as you can then get a new MBP with firewire.
