I've noticed on some movies and shows that have been downloaded to my :apple:TV will hit spots where it will stop and/or skip briefly, and it has sometimes happened not once, but a couple times in a row when it starts and then will resume. These are items that are not being streamed, they reside on the hard drive.

I know OS X automatically manages the disk, but has anyone encountered this and is it possilbe to optimize and/or defrag the hard drive?

I have 4.25 GBs left on my 40GB :apple:TV.

Side-note: After the year is up on the device I do plan to upgrade to a larger hard drive, any suggestions on the largest possible hard drive that can fit? Preferably Seagate if possible.

Thanks
