I have a second monitor which I would like to use with my G4 305Mhz. I have a graphic card which has 2 connection 1 DVI and 1VGA. I am at the moment using a drBot adapter to use my Apple 17 cinema display but the second port VGA is not being used.

Could I use that VGA port on the graphic card to hock-up the second monitor or would I have to get a new PCI graphic card.

Depends on the model of the graphics card.

The graphic card I have in the G4 at the moment is a RADEON MAC EDITION 32mb AGP 2x.

I know that newer cards can support 2 displays. Not sure about older models. And 32MB of video ram doesn't sound like much. It might not be enough to support millions of colors on both monitors. But that depends on screen resolutions, I guess.

Um, 305MHz G4? I'll let that slide as a typo...

But your card should be able to handle two displays fine, but you might have to cut the resolution down a bit.
